Trainee Education Recruitment Consultant
Start Date: Monday 28th April 2025

Job Responsibilities - Education Recruitment Consultant:
- Sales & Business Development – Proactively grow your own client base, identify new business opportunities, and build lasting relationships with schools, colleges and education professionals.
- Candidate Attraction & Management – Source, engage, and support high-quality school workforce talent, ensuring they’re matched to the right roles at the right time.
- Account Management – Become a trusted partner to your schools by understanding their needs and delivering excellent service to keep their classrooms fully staffed.
- Admin & Compliance – Manage important processes such as safeguarding, vetting, and documentation to ensure every placement meets strict regulatory standards.

Your journey at Operam will start with our 8-week accelerator Academy, designed to give you the tools and training you need to succeed as an Education Recruitment Consultant:
✅ Initial training takes place in our Manchester Head Office (Monday–Thursday & all expenses paid) you will receive expert-led training in business development, candidate management, negotiation, education compliance, and legislation.
✅ Fridays in-branch (London), gaining hands-on experience, shadowing senior recruiters, and immersing yourself in the real world of education recruitment.
✅ After 8 weeks, you'll graduate into your full-time in branch role from Week 9, with continued Academy support throughout your first 12 months.
✅ With guidance from experienced mentors, you’ll build a successful desk, grow your own business, and help schools find the talent they need to thrive.
✅ Your learning journey will continue with our career pathways, further development training programmes and industry leading recruitment qualification opportunities available to you.

Skills & Experience
- Open to graduates, but a degree isn’t essential if you have experience in sales, retail, customer service, or competitive environments (like sports)
- Career changers welcome, especially if you’ve thrived in target-driven roles.
- Ambitious, proactive, and positive, with a passion for overachieving goals and making a difference.
